Repair Café Aotearoa NZ encourages the use of Te Reo Māori, the language and kaupapa of our indigenous people, in day-to-day life. We promote extending our vocabulary and invite the signage of repair stations in both English and Te Reo Māori as well as conversational Te Reo Māori in meetings and gatherings.

An infographic of common garden tools translated into Te Reo Māori. Created in partnership with Para Kore ki Tāmaki and Uru Whakaaro for a collaborative repair event held over Matariki, to sharpen garden tools and collect donated garden tools for use at local Maara kai.

Repair Café Aotearoa NZ has developed a tri-fold brochure detailing information about Repair Cafés and the organisations that host them in Aotearoa. A PDF copy of this is available upon request to use at your Repair Café events.

November 2022: Applications are now open for funds generated during our Givealittle crowdfund campaign. The RCANZ grant application form and associated guidelines are available on request to repair café organisers associated with RCANZ or interested in setting up a repair café with RCANZ. We welcome inquiries. Please contact us below.

Ka pai te mahi Para Kore! We are so excited to be able to share these fantastic Oranga Taiao Wānanga | Online Learning Courses - launched on 1 September 2022. Here you can learn about The Māori Creation Story, our relationship to Natural Resources, and the circular economy and te ao Māori values and practices. There are videos to watch, activities to complete and even games to play.

Although the focus of repair cafés is to extend the life of a product, it is important to be aware of safe recycling and end of life options in one's respective community. Here is a wonderful resource list from Highbury House Repair Café.
